Our promise
Where the numbers on this site come from, and where they do not.
Where the data comes from
Three places: government publications, market prices, and the people who actually run these businesses. Each number shows which kind of source it came from and the date it was checked. Where we have no solid source, we label the figure an editorial estimate rather than hide it.
Nothing here involves money
We take no money from anyone, we pay no one, and we are part of no sale or transaction. We do not promote any business, supplier or course for payment. If somebody asks you for money in our name, it is a fraud — please tell us.
This is not advice
What you find here is other people's experience and the market's own numbers. Which business suits you is your decision. We guarantee no profit and give no investment advice. Before you commit real money, visit the market yourself and talk to two or three people already doing the work.
Tell us when something is wrong
Prices change, rules change, and we make mistakes. Press “Suggest a correction” beside any number, say what is wrong and what your source is. We check it, fix it, and the page records what changed.
Using this data
Every figure took time, phone calls and fieldwork to collect. Read it, learn from it, send a friend the link — all fine. But do not lift the data or the listings into another site, app or book. For teaching or research, ask us; we usually say yes.
